Britons determined to holiday abroad next summer
The global recession had led to fewer Brits making overseas trips in the last few months, leading to a trend to holiday within the UK.
However, with the economy showing some signs of recovery, and the British weather playing spoilsport, some British travellers have already begun booking overseas holidays for the next year.
A survey conducted by the travelsupermarket site revealed that 44% of Brits were willing to pay 25% more to travel abroad, in the hope of better weather.
The recent staycation trend helped many UK camping sites and other holiday spots boost their numbers significantly this year, but after the dismal summer, British holidays may not enjoy the same success in 2010.
