Luton Airport Parking Traffic warning of ongoing work on M1 JUNCTIONS 10 AND 10A LUTON – REPAIRS TO M1 SPUR BRIDGE 

Work to renovate the bridge over Newlands Road on the M1 spur near Luton, began on Thursday 17 September.  

The work involves replacing the bridge parapets and carrying out drainage and resurfacing work.  

While the work is being carried out one lane only will be open in each direction for 24 hours a day, 7 days a week until the work is completed in spring 2010.  

A 40 mph speed limit will be in force throughout the works.  

Drivers using the M1 spur, particularly those travelling to Luton Airport, should allow extra times for their journeys.
